1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that may be stored in the visitor’s browser or on their device by the website or by services used on the website.

Cookies may serve various purposes, including ensuring the proper and secure operation of the website, remembering certain visitor preferences and – where the visitor has given consent – supporting statistical or marketing-related functions.

Some cookies are stored only for the duration of the current browsing session, while others may remain on the visitor’s device for a specified period of time.

2. Categories of cookies

Cookies and similar technologies used on the website may be classified into the following main categories according to their purpose:

Necessary cookies: these cookies are required for the basic operation and security of the website and for providing functions explicitly requested by the visitor. Without these cookies, certain parts of the website may not function properly.

Preference or functional cookies: these cookies allow the website to remember choices made by the visitor, such as the selected website language.

Statistical cookies: these cookies collect information about how visitors use the website and may help improve the website’s performance and user experience.

Marketing cookies: these cookies may be used to measure visitor activity, analyse the performance of advertising campaigns and, where appropriate consent has been given, support more personalised marketing communications.

The current categorisation of cookies and similar technologies actually used on the website is shown in the automatically updated Cookie Declaration provided by Cookiebot at the end of this Policy.

3. Consent to the use of cookies

Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website may be used without the visitor’s consent where they are required solely for the proper and secure operation of the website or for providing a service explicitly requested by the visitor.

Statistical, marketing and other non-essential cookies or similar technologies may only be activated after the visitor has given prior consent.

Visitors are free to decide whether to:

  • accept all non-essential cookies;
  • reject non-essential cookies;
  • give consent separately for individual cookie categories;
  • modify or withdraw previously given consent at any time.

Rejecting non-essential cookies does not prevent the use of the website’s essential functions.

4. Cookiebot consent management platform

SOLBAT uses Cookiebot™ by Usercentrics as its consent management platform (CMP) to manage visitors’ choices relating to cookies and similar technologies.

The service provider is:

Usercentrics A/S
Havnegade 39
1058 Copenhagen
Denmark
Company registration number: DK34624607

Cookiebot is used in particular to:

  • request the visitor’s consent;
  • record the selected cookie categories;
  • remember the visitor’s consent status;
  • document consent;
  • regulate the activation of services that have not been authorised;
  • regularly scan the website for cookies and trackers.

Cookiebot may store the visitor’s consent status in a first-party cookie named CookieConsent.

The default validity period of consent may be up to 12 months, after which the system may request the visitor’s consent again.

For the purpose of demonstrating and documenting consent, Cookiebot may record information such as an anonymised identifier, the date and time of consent, technical browser information, the relevant URL and the consent status selected by the visitor.

5. Important technologies currently used on the website

Polylang

The website uses Polylang to manage its Hungarian and English language versions.

Polylang may use a cookie named pll_language to remember the language last selected by the visitor. The default lifetime of this cookie is generally 1 year.

Google reCAPTCHA

The website uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect its forms.

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to identify and prevent spam, automated submissions and malicious use of website forms.

According to Google’s technical documentation, reCAPTCHA may place a necessary cookie named _GRECAPTCHA for risk analysis and security purposes.

During the operation of reCAPTCHA, Google may also process technical data such as IP addresses, browser information, device information and information relating to website usage.

Processing performed by Google is governed by Google’s applicable privacy policy and service terms.

6. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel

The website does not currently use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

SOLBAT may introduce these or similar services in the future for statistical purposes, conversion measurement and online marketing activities.

If such services are activated, any associated non-essential cookies and similar technologies will only be activated after the visitor has given appropriate prior consent.

Cookiebot regularly scans the website and can detect newly introduced cookies and trackers, allowing the Cookie Declaration to be updated accordingly.

If Google Analytics or Meta Pixel is introduced, SOLBAT’s Privacy Notice will also be updated to reflect the actual configuration used.

7. Modifying or withdrawing consent

Visitors may use the Cookiebot cookie settings interface at any time to view, modify or withdraw previously given consent.

Cookiebot provides a dedicated privacy/settings interface that may display the visitor’s current consent status and allow them to change or withdraw their preferences.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

8. Managing cookies through the browser

Most modern browsers allow users to view, delete, disable or restrict cookies.

Through browser settings, visitors may in particular:

  • delete cookies already stored on their device;
  • block certain or all cookies;
  • configure the browser to provide a warning before cookies are stored.

Please note that disabling strictly necessary or functional cookies at browser level may restrict the operation of certain website features.

9. Third-party services

Certain functions of the website may rely on technologies provided by external service providers.

Such providers may process technical or other data necessary for the operation of their own services.

Processing carried out by third-party providers may also be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Where a third-party service is not strictly necessary and requires consent, SOLBAT uses Cookiebot to ensure that activation of such service depends on the visitor’s choice.

10. Further information on the processing of personal data

Further information about the processing of personal data associated with cookies and similar technologies, the identity of the Data Controller, data processors, data-subject rights and legal remedies is available in SOLBAT’s separate Privacy Notice.

11. Amendments to this Cookie Policy

SOLBAT reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy, in particular where:

  • the technologies used on the website change;
  • a new external service is introduced;
  • new cookies or trackers are added;
  • Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or another analytical or marketing solution is activated;
  • applicable legislation or regulatory practice changes.

The current version of this Cookie Policy is always available on the www.solbat.hu website.

12. Detailed list of cookies currently used on the website

The current list of cookies, trackers and similar technologies actually used on the website is provided by Cookiebot’s automatically updated Cookie Declaration.

The declaration may display, among other things:

  • the name of the cookie;
  • the provider;
  • its purpose;
